90’s WWF Superstar Virgil In Hot Water After Racist Tweet

www.sportskeeda.com reports that Virgil, known for his role as bodyguard to The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase in the 1980s and later wrestled undercard matches on his own in the 1990s in the WWF and independent shows is in hot water after making a disparaging tweet about new WWE Champion Jinder Mahal last night after the Backlash event.
I swear I just saw Jinder Mahal get me a Slurpee at 7-11 #wwebacklash— Virgil (@TheRealVirgil) May 22, 2017
Many fans replied to Virgil’s tweet with anger and are outraged over the statement. Virgil seems to have taken down the tweet. Replacing it with this one.

The site also reports this is not the first time Virgil has made some controversial statements in the past saying that racism is okay in the wrestling world. Virgil has been accused of making controversial statements as a way to bring attention to himself a number of times by fans and detractors alike. The WWE nor Jinder Mahal have involved themselves in this situation as Virgil has not worked for the WWE for many years, last making appearances in a storyline involving Ted Dibiase Jr. in 2011.
