JR Doesn’t Blame Austin For The Condemned, Jericho In WWE, More

– Jim Ross has posted yet another blog entry on his official website. Below are some of the tidbits that I felt were newsworthy.

Ross blames the failure of The Condemned on Lionsgate’s promotion for the film. And as far as Austin goes, Ross comments, “Steve has handled this entire matter with class and professionalism, knowing full well that critics criticize for a living and that one of our personal favorites, John Wayne, was hammered by the Hollywood media as much as any star in the business for a variety of reasons, which did not seem to slow “The Duke” down at all. The creative process in any endeavor lends itself to getting crushed by critics and some fans alike. That’s just part of the territory. We read this same sort of thing every week about various wrestling TV shows. If one can’t take the heat, one must certainly stay out of the kitchen. It’s never a wonderful day to read that one’s work “sucks,” but I have plenty of times in my career and I simply use it for motivation.”

JR addresses the return of Chris Jericho to WWE by saying, “If the playing field is level and Chris is comfortable in all aspects of his potential return, I think Chris will pull the trigger and come back to the WWE. As we have said here before, if all the i’s can be dotted and the t’s crossed to Chris’ satisfaction, I think there is a better than a 50/50 chance of Jericho returning to the WWE this year. He’s one talented son of a gun.”

Also in his blog JR talks about his new BBQ restaurant, speculates that when Rey Mysterio returns it will be in either ECW or on RAW, and more. Click here to read it in its entirety.
