Brock Lesnar may be confirmed not to wrestle until the upcoming Great Balls of Fire show this summer, but “The Beast” will definitely be returning to Raw soon to promote whatever match he may be involved in. Brock Lesnar won the Universal Championship from Goldberg at Wrestlemania in Orlando, and then appeared on Raw the next night where he had a confrontation with Braun Strowman. Lesnar has not made any appearances for WWE of any kind ever since that show, which has caused some backlash from fans. However, Wrestling Inc. has reported that Lesnar is confirmed to appear on the following Raw shows:
June 12th in Lafayette
June 26h in Los Angeles
July 3rd in Phoenix
July 10th in Houston
Those first three dates are all Raw shows that take place before Great Balls of Fire, whereas the Houston show takes place the day after the inaugural pay-per-view. He was originally thought to be facing Braun Strowman at the event, but due to his injury, WWE is likely scrapping those plans. Rumored opponents for Lesnar at the show now include Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, and Bray Wyatt. No word on any further dates beyond those shows for Lesnar, but it is safe to assume that he will be returning on Raw during the month of August. That is the time when SummerSlam takes place, and Lesnar will almost certainly be competing on that show.
Brock Lesnar not appearing too regularly on Raw has taken the show down a bit. It’s become clear that their is no real top prize on the brand, and WWE is just killing time until Lesnar can return. The plan is still for Roman Reigns to defeat Lesnar at Wrestlemania next year for the Universal title. While plans could change, this likely means that Lesnar will be holding on to the title for the remainder of the year. Whomever Lesnar ends up feuding with will make some interesting television, hopefully we start learning more about who that will be in the upcoming weeks.
