Unable To Bear Losses Due To Dwindling Stock Market, 63-YO Investor Commits Suicide

A 63-year-old retired employee of a private company and investor in the stock market was found hanging in his flat in Pushpanjali building in Kandivli (West) on Thursday afternoon. Sources in Kandivli police probing the case said Vijay Naik may have ended his life after incurring heavy losses in the stock market.

The suicide came to light around 12.30 pm when Naik’s wife and daughter, who had left for work, contacted their domestic help and asked her to check on him as he was not responding to their phone calls for a long time.
